On July 1st, the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano will transform into a vibrant meeting point of art, culture, and solidarity, thanks to the extraordinary artist Ribana Szutor.
On a 10-meter-long canvas, Ribana will lead a collective experience, engaging the audience in the creation of a unique artwork titled “The Swiss–South African Puzzle.”
The piece will depict the overlapping geographical contours of Switzerland and Africa, symbolizing the union of two worlds, two cultures, and two traditions, bound together by shared values of solidarity and shared beauty.
Using dry, light, and unlayered brushstrokes, symbolic colors will be applied:
• Red and black, green and white – a nod to Switzerland
• Yellow – a tribute to the colors of South Africa
