Gems and Colors

A not-to-be-missed event that from today is hosted in the La Piramide showroom at 13 Via del Gesù in Milan. Jeweler and collector Roberto Sciaguato is showcasing through Nov. 17 his private collection of rare gems and jewelry that he has jealously guarded for years to share the feelings that the colors and rarity of these stones inevitably convey.

Alongside the rare and precious jewelry, the innovative art of neogeometric and neo-figurative painter Ribana Szutor will create a nexus between the abstract images, floral elements and stylized, evanescent bodies of her paintings, and the colors of the stones, inextricably joining the palette of rubies, sapphires and pearls.

Undisputed ‘Vedettes’ of the exhibition will also be unique and historically interesting pieces such as the emerald pendant, engraved and shaped by Fortunato Pio Castellani in the 19th century, given by Napoleon III to his mistress, the Countess of Castiglione.
